Prime Minister Dahal emphasizes enormous potential in Nepal’s sports sector



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has expressed optimism about the significant possibilities within Nepal, with the sports sector being one of the most promising.

While inaugurating the Fourth National Wado-ryu Open Karate Championship organized by the Nepal Wado-ryu Karate Do Association today, PM Dahal highlighted the abundant potential that Nepal possesses in the field of sports.

He noted the commendable achievements of Nepali athletes in both national and international competitions, citing successes in the recently concluded South Asian Karate Championship held in Nepal, the Fifth South Asian Championship in Bangladesh, and the 19th edition of the Asian Games.

“Nepal is a country teeming with possibilities. We have ample opportunities for the country’s development and progress, and among them, the sports sector holds tremendous potential. The progress achieved in the sports sector over the last decade in Nepal reaffirms this reality. Hence, during my third term in office, I am placing the utmost importance on the development of the sports sector,” reiterated the Prime Minister.

The acknowledgment from the Prime Minister underscores the commitment to fostering and advancing the sports sector in Nepal as a crucial avenue for national development and international recognition.
