CHITWAN: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs Rabi Lamichhane has voiced his concerns over what he perceives as a violation of his right to speak in parliament.

Lamichhane emphasized the importance of addressing alleged issues within cooperatives and suggested the formation of a probe committee.

“But amidst this, I should get a chance to speak in parliament,” he asserted while talking to journalists in Chitwan this morning.

Asserting his entitlement to address the sovereign parliament, Lamichhane challenged his detractors to substantiate the accusations leveled against him.

He rebuffed the notion that the Nepali Congress holds the authority to dictate parliamentary proceedings, stating, “The Nepali Congress is not the force to instruct parliament and Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) ‘to do or not to do this or that.”

Additionally, DPM Lamichhane disclosed ongoing efforts to bring GB Rai, the central figure in the cooperatives scandal, to justice.
