NRB announces foreign currency exchange rates for today



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has announced the official foreign exchange rates for today.

According to the central bank, the buying rate for one US dollar is Rs 152.82, while the selling rate is Rs 153.42.

The buying and selling rates for one euro are Rs 178.83 and Rs 179.53, respectively. Similarly, one British pound sterling is set at Rs 208.73 for buying and Rs 209.55 for selling, while one Swiss franc is valued at Rs 191.23 and Rs 191.98, respectively.

The buying rate for one Australian dollar is Rs 109.46 and the selling rate is Rs 109.89. One Canadian dollar is set at Rs 111.17 for buying and Rs 111.61 for selling, while one Singapore dollar is valued at Rs 120.45 and Rs 120.92, respectively.

The buying rate for 10 Japanese yen is Rs 9.64, with the selling rate at Rs 9.67. One Chinese yuan is set at Rs 22.74 for buying and Rs 22.83 for selling. Similarly, one Saudi Arabian riyal is valued at Rs 40.70 and Rs 40.86, while one Qatari riyal is set at Rs 41.93 and Rs 42.09, respectively.

According to NRB, one Thai baht is valued at Rs 4.68 for buying and Rs 4.69 for selling. The buying and selling rates for one UAE dirham are Rs 41.61 and Rs 41.77, respectively, while one Malaysian ringgit is set at Rs 37.84 and Rs 37.99.

The buying rate for 100 South Korean won is Rs 11.04, with the selling rate at Rs 11.08. One Swedish krona is valued at Rs 16.15 for buying and Rs 16.21 for selling, while one Danish krone is set at Rs 23.92 and Rs 24.01, respectively.

The central bank has fixed the buying rate for one Hong Kong dollar at Rs 19.49 and the selling rate at Rs 19.57. One Kuwaiti dinar is set at Rs 498.19 for buying and Rs 500.15 for selling, while one Bahraini dinar is valued at Rs 405.34 and Rs 406.93, respectively.

Similarly, one Omani rial is set at Rs 396.00 for buying and Rs 398.51 for selling. The buying rate for 100 Indian rupees has been fixed at Rs 160, while the selling rate is Rs 160.15.

NRB said the exchange rates may be revised at any time depending on market conditions. Rates offered by commercial banks may differ from the central bank’s official rates, and the latest rates are available on the NRB website.
