Regmi appointed Ambassador to the US; Oli to China

KATHMANDU: President Ram Chandra Poudel has appointed new ambassadors to the United States and China.

Lokdarshan Regmi has been appointed as the Ambassador to the United States, while Prof. Dr. Krishna Prasad Oli has been named Ambassador to China.

Shailaja Regmi Bhattarai, Spokesperson for the President’s Office, said that the appointments were made based on recommendations from the Council of Ministers, in accordance with Article 282(1) of the Constitution.

The Council of Ministers had recommended ambassadors to 18 different countries.
