Rita Dhital appointed as Nepali Ambassador to Pakistan

KATHMANDU: Rita Dhital has been appointed as the Nepalese Ambassador to Pakistan.

Following a recommendation from the government, President Ram Chandra Poudel appointed Dhital on Tuesday.

In a cabinet meeting, the government recommended 17 ambassadors for various countries, and Dhital was selected by President Poudel, as confirmed by Assistant Spokesperson of the President’s Office, Basanta Prasad Panthi.

During her parliamentary hearing, Dhital expressed her commitment to initiating the organization of a South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) conference.

Dhital holds a Joint Secretary-level position in the Foreign Service.
