Five candidacies filed for FNJ President



KATHMANDU: Five journalists have filed their candidacies for the post of President of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ).

The FNJ election is scheduled for December 13. Kamal Giri, Debi Prasad Sapkota, Nirmala Sharma, Ramesh Bista and Lal Singh Lama have filed their nominations.

Similarly, FNJ secretariat recorded the candidacy of four persons–Govinda Prasad Chaulagain, Damodar Prasad Dawadi, Dipak Acharya and Roshan Puri for the post of a senior vice-president.

Ganga Poudel and Nitu Pandit have filed their candidacies to the post of vice-president (women) while Janmadev Jaisi, Prakash Thapa, Ram Prasad Dahal and Lekhnath Neupane to the post of a general-secretary.

A total of 133 nominations were filed for 52-member central executive committee.

As per the election schedule, 133 candidacies were filed for 47 posts from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on Friday.
