Energy Minister meets ISA President to discuss solar initiatives

KATHMANDU: Deepak Khadka, Nepal’s Minister of Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation, met with Prahlad Venkatesh Joshi, President of the International Solar Alliance (ISA) and India’s Minister of New and Renewable Energy, at the Bharat Mandap Center in New Delhi on Tuesday.

The meeting centered on key issues such as sustainable development, climate change mitigation, and the transition to clean energy.

Khadka expressed optimism about working with the ISA to implement a solar roadmap for Nepal, which includes leveraging solar energy for health, education, tourism, and solar irrigation projects.

He also highlighted the importance of establishing a solar technology center to foster innovation and growth in this sector.
