Drake and Kendrick Lamar Trade Personal Blows in Dueling Diss Tracks ‘Family Matters’ and ‘Meet the Grahams’

WASHINGTON DC: In the ongoing verbal spar between Drake and Kendrick Lamar, the intensity reaches a new level of intimacy.

Following Lamar’s earlier release of his diss track titled “6:16 in LA,” both artists swiftly retaliate with their own responses on Friday night (May 3). Drake unveils “Family Matters,” followed by Lamar dropping “Meet the Grahams,” according to variety.com.

Drake’s “Family Matters” takes a deeply personal route. In the seven-minute track, he confronts Lamar directly, addressing his fiancee Whitney Alford and even their children.

Drake challenges Lamar’s stance on fatherhood, implying that Lamar’s children might not be solely his own.

He also references their previous spat regarding Tupac Shakur’s estate, suggesting Lamar’s involvement in the cease and desist sent to Drake.

Lamar’s “Meet the Grahams” doesn’t shy away from personal jabs either.

He directly addresses Drake’s family members, including his son Adonis, mother Sandra, and father Dennis.

Lamar’s verses are filled with regret for Adonis, criticism for Drake’s parents, and a pointed mention of a daughter Drake has allegedly kept hidden.

The feud, which initially sparked between Lamar, Drake, and J. Cole, has now escalated, drawing in a host of other artists including Rick Ross, Metro Boomin, the Weeknd, and Future.
