APF rescues two paragliders stuck in tree



UDAYAPUR: The Armed Police Force (APF) successfully rescued two paragliders who were stranded on a tree during a paragliding session in Triyuga-11, Ramite Danda, Udayapur.

Rabindra Dhakal (Pilot), 29 years old, from Pokhara-18 Sarangkot, Kaski, and Siddhant Basnet, 26 years old, from Triyuga-11, Bishalnagar, Udayapur, encountered an uncontrollable paragliding mishap due to the impact of the wind during their midday paragliding on Monday.

Upon receiving information about the incident, the Armed Police Force Nepal No. 5 Triyuga Battalion, in coordination with local residents and other security agencies, executed a successful rope rescue operation.

The paragliders were stuck approximately 100 feet above the ground on a tree in the Navodaya Community Forest.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Shailendra Thapa, the spokesperson of the Armed Police Force, stated that the successful rescue operation was carried out using rope rescue techniques, leveraging the disaster management training received by the force.
