Chinese tourist found dead in hostel room in Thamel 



KATHMANDU: In a somber incident, a 47-year-old Chinese tourist, Wao Gwang, was discovered dead in his room at Nepalaya Home Hostel in Thamel on Saturday evening, as reported by Superintendent of Police at District Police Office, Kumodh Dhungel.

Gwang, who had been residing at Nepalaya Home Hostel since January 24, was found lifeless in his room, prompting a response from the local police. A team reached the hostel after receiving information about the incident.

Superintendent Dhungel stated that the deceased’s body has been taken to TU Teaching Hospital for postmortem examination.

As of now, no apparent evidence regarding the cause of Gwang’s death has been identified at the scene.

The police have initiated an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding this unfortunate event.
