Traffic resumes on Besisahar-Chame road

LAMJUNG: The Lamjung section of the Besisahar-Chame road stretch, which has been blocked since Tuesday evening due to landslides triggered by incessant rains at various places, has come into operation.

According to the District Police Office, traffic operation has resumed in the district after landslides occurred at Kharkhare of Lamjung Besisahar -6 and Gopaldanda of Marsyangdi rural municipality-9 were removed this morning.

Police Inspector Thaneshwor Chapai informed that the vehicles came into operation after the landslide debris was removed from the place and water level in the Octopus Falls dropped.

Although the road has been operated in Lamjung section, Manang section is being obstructed.

Vehicular movement has not been resumed so far after the Timang rivulet washed away a wooden bridge at Chame rural municipality-1 on Tuesday night.
