APF sets a target of 115 runs in PM Cup Women’s Cricket final for Koshi Province



KATHMANDU: In a thrilling showdown at the Prime Minister Cup Women’s National Tournament, the Armed Police Force Club has set an ambitious target of 115 runs for Koshi Province to secure the championship trophy.

In their innings, APF posted a score of 114 runs, losing seven wickets within the allocated overs.

The standout performance came from Indu Barma, who played a crucial innings, notching up a half-century that included an impressive display of one six and six fours in her 47-ball stint.

Openers Jyoti Pandey and captain Sita Rana Magar also contributed 27 and one run, respectively. Rema Thapa, Mamata Chaudhary, Sarita Magar, and Karuna Bhandari added 14, three, nine, and two runs to the team’s total.

The bowling attack from Koshi Province featured Afsari Begum, who claimed three wickets, and Aliya Khatiwada, who took two wickets. Rubina Chhetri and Nisha Shah also contributed with one wicket each. As the excitement builds, the spotlight is on Koshi Province as they chase the challenging target to clinch the prestigious trophy.
