PM Oli visits Chandragiri hill, turns poetic

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) KP Oli visited Chandragiri Hill on Friday during the festival holiday.

Reaching atop the Chandragiri hill and visiting the Bhaleshwor Mahadev Temple, the PM also spent time in writing poetic lines celebrating the Goddess Satidevi.

In the poem, he depicted the mythical love stories relating to Goddess Sati and Chandragiri hill. PM Oli was accompanied by his spouse Radhika Shakya and secretariat members during the visit.

To this, Chairman of Chandragiri Hills Pvt, Chandra Prasad Dhakal, said they were encouraged by the PM’s visit and poetic writing there.

Although PM Oli says he is not a poet or a litterateur, those close to him find creative faculty in him.

He has philosophical and literary inclination, they observe. In his previous stint of PM in 2075BS, he had attended a literary conference at Chandragiri hill where he had composed a poem relating to mortality, yearning and happiness.

In the visitors’ notebook, PM Oli wrote, “There is a tremendous opportunity for anyone willing to work in Nepal. Chandragiri Hills is a fine example of it.”
