RSP’s Rajiv Khatri leads in Bhaktapur-2, UML’s Mahesh Basnet trails



BHAKTAPUR: According to the latest vote count in Bhaktapur Constituency No. 2, Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) candidate Rajiv Khatri has taken the lead, making the electoral contest increasingly competitive.

As of 4:00 am, Khatri has secured 1,400 votes following the counting of ballots from both polling stations in Ward No. 7 (Gundu) of Suryabinayak Municipality.

CPN-UML candidate Mahesh Basnet is in second place with 1,200 votes, trailing Khatri by a margin of 200 votes.

Similarly, Nepali Congress candidate Kabir Rana has received 171 votes so far, while Nepal Communist Party candidate Ram Prasad Sapkota has secured 17 votes.
