KATHMANDU: In a commanding performance, Tribhuvan Army Club clinched a spot in the finals of the Prime Minister Cup Men’s National Tournament 2024 by defeating Gandaki Province by 68 runs on Thursday.
After winning the toss, Tribhuvan Army opted to bat first, posting a total of 132 runs, with Imran Sheikh contributing the highest with 34 runs and Sompal Kami adding 23 runs to the team’s total.
Amrit Gurung and Krishna Poudel shone on the bowling front for Gandaki Province, each taking two wickets.
In pursuit of the modest target of 133 runs, Gandaki Province struggled and were all out for 64 runs in 23.4 overs.
Ishwor Chhetri top-scored with 16 runs, while Karan Pangeni and Roshan Gautam added 15 and nine runs, respectively.
Tribhuvan Army’s Shahab Alam proved to be a formidable force, taking four wickets, while Jitendra Mukhiya and Kushal Malla contributed with two wickets each.
