Final hearing in Sandeep Lamichhane rape case continues, verdict expected tomorrow



KATHMANDU: The conclusive hearing on the rape case involving cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane is set to resume tomorrow, as the anticipated verdict did not materialize today.

The legal representatives for Lamichhane, including advocates Murari Sapkota, Roshni Poudel, senior advocates Shambu Thapa, Krishna Sapkota, Sabita Bhanndari, and Raman Shrestha, presented their case during today’s proceedings.

Due to time constraints, the advocates were unable to conclude their arguments, leading to the decision to continue the proceedings tomorrow. Tomorrow’s session is scheduled for the government advocates to present their response.

Judge Shishir Dhakal is expected to deliver the verdict in this closely watched case, underscoring the significance of the final hearing in determining the outcome of the legal proceedings against Sandeep Lamichhane.
