Federal Affairs Minister advises local levels to bring annual road map for development

MORANG: Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration, Anita Devi, has advised local levels to prepare and unveil a roadmap for development each year.

Speaking at an interaction program on ‘good practices of local levels’ organized by the Ministry and the Office of Chief Minister and Council of Ministers in Koshi Province, the Minister urged local levels to come up with substantive plans to address people’s aspirations for development.

She advised local levels to present themselves as governance role models.

Koshi Province Chief Minister Kedar Karki called upon all political parties to concentrate their efforts on the successful enforcement of federalism achieved through people’s sacrifices.

Biratnagar metropolis mayor Nagesh Koirala complained of ‘discriminations’ in budget allocations for local levels by the federal government.

Mayors of local levels from 14 districts in the province attended the program.
