KATHMANDU: Four wooden artworks of archeological significance will be brought back home from Australia.

The artworks dating back to the early 20th century reached the National Gallery of Australia based in Canberra at different times.

The Gallery, the national art museum of Australia, handed them to the Nepali Embassy there on its own and Shangrila International Freight Private Limited is assigned to transport them back to Nepal.

The objects weigh total of 26 kilos, according to company executive director Saugat Singh. Once the historic objects arrive here, they will be handed to the Department of Archeology.
