KATHMANDU: A devastating school bus accident in Udayapur district on Saturday resulted in the loss of three lives, including the bus driver and two minors.
The accident occurred in Udayapurgadi Rural Municipality-7 when a bus belonging to Annapurna School in Triyuga Municipality-7 was involved in the incident this afternoon. The bus, carrying 39 passengers, met with tragedy while returning from a picnic.
The casualties include the bus driver, Vikhan Chaudhary, 40, who died on the spot, along with Sandya Chaudhary, 7, and Bikash Chaudhary, 6. Additionally, 39 passengers sustained injuries, with five of them are seriously injured, according to the District Police Office.
