Nepal beat India in Nepal-India Women Bilateral T20 Cricket Series for the Blind

POKHARA: With Binita Pun’s century, Nepal beat India in the second Nepal-India Women Bilateral T20 Cricket Series for the Blind undergoing in Pokhara.

The Nepali blind women’s cricket team defeated India by 8 wickets in the first match played at Pokhara cricket ground on Tuesday.

The Indian Blind Women’s Cricket Team scored 173 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.

For India, vice-captain Gangava Nilappa scored 72 runs, Simu Das scored 26 runs, Deepika TC scored 16 runs, Varsh U scored 10 runs and Sushma Patel scored 9 runs.

5 Indian players were run out. Nepal’s Binita Pun and Nisha Chaudhary took one wicket each.

In reply, Nepal passed the target with the loss of 2 wickets.

Binita Pun, the player of the match for Nepal, scored 111 runs not out in 57 balls. She hit 17 fours.

Pun became the first player to score a century in the history of Nepalese blind women’s cricket.

Similarly, Mankeshari Chaudhary scored 32 runs and Sarita Ghimire scored 21 runs not out.
