PM Dahal says Presidential candidate will be finalized by Feb 25

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” said discussions were in progress among the political parties to finalize the candidate to the post of President by February 25. He said this after a meeting with Unified Socialist Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal on Thursday.

Pokhara Airport launching night flight tonight

Pokhara Regional International Airport, the third largest international airport in the country, will be launching night flights from today. According to Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) Spokesperson Jagannath Niraula, to date, flights to and from the Pokhara airport are available from 6:00 am to 4:00 pm and the night flight will be commencing from tonight.

UML is free from illusion that power is ultimate truth: Chair Oli

CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli has said his party is free from the illusion of making any compromise for power and keeping aside own values and ideals thinking power as the ultimate truth. Speaking at a program in Kathmandu on Thursday, Chair Oli said formation of federal government and provincial government in the power balance of political parties based on consensus on December 25 was a political change in the national politics.

Unified Socialist Chair Nepal meets PM Dahal at Singha Durbar

Prime Minister Prachanda, who is also the chairman of the CPN Maoist Center, Narayan Kaji Shrestha, Deputy Prime Minister and senior vice chairman of the Maoist Center, Unified Socialist chair Nepal and leader Ghanashyam Bhusal attended the meeting held at the Prime Minister’s office in Singha Durbar.

Nepal to face Singapore in U-19 World Cup Qualifiers tomorrow

Gold price down by Rs. 500 per tola today

Gold price has decreased by Rs 500 in the domestic market on Thursday. According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of fine gold is fixed at Rs 102,500 per tola and standard gold is traded at Rs 102,000 per tola. The fine gold was traded at Rs 103,000 per tola and standard gold at Rs 102,500 per tola on Wednesday.
