KATHMANDU: The government has appointed advocate Dr. Narayan Kandel as the new Attorney General, the country’s legal advisor.

The decision was made by the cabinet on Sunday. Prior to this, advocate Subas Acharya had also been considered for the position, but Prime Minister Balendra Shah chose Kandel, a native of Baglung.
