Nepal beat Scotland again, historical clean sweep in series



KATHMANDU: With the help of Rohit Paudel’s patient batting and Sandeep Lamichhane’s impressive bowling, Nepal defeated Scotland in the final match of the ICC World Cup League-2 triangular series on Tuesday.

Nepal beat Scotland again in the Triangular Series of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League-2 held at the Kirtipur-based Tribhuvan University cricket ground today.

Nepal met the target of 213-run in 44.1overs at the loss of eight wickets. Captain Poudel hammered 95 runs facing 101 balls. He stroke 7 fours and 4 sixes.

Likewise, Kushal Malla gathered 31 runs, including 2 fours and 1 six facing 37 deliveries.

In Tuesday’s match, Scotland batted first and scored 212 runs.

With this result, Nepal has won all four matches of the triangular match. This is the first time Nepal won all four matches of the series.

Nepal has 26 points from 28 matches, now.

UAE is in fifth place in the League-2 table. It has 27 points in 26 games.
