Australia wins ICC World Cup 2023

AHMEDABAD: Australia bowled out India for 240 in the Cricket World Cup final, securing their record-extending sixth 50-overs World Cup title.

In the final held in Ahmedabad on Sunday, opener Travis Head played a pivotal role, scoring a magnificent century as Australia achieved a six-wicket victory.

India, put into bat, managed to post a total of 240 all out in 50 overs, with KL Rahul and Virat Kohli contributing battling half-centuries.

Despite facing a top-order challenge, Australia, led by Head’s impressive 137 off 120 balls, comfortably chased down the target with seven overs to spare in a match that didn’t reach remarkable heights.
