Bhimduttanagar Municipality to prize cricketers Airee, Sarki

KANCHANPUR: The Bhimduttanagar Municipality in Kanchanpur district is to honor two national cricket team members with Rs 151,000 each.

The municipality would prize cricketers Dipendra Singh Airee and Bhim Sarki.

Both the cricketers are permanent residents of the Bhimduttanagar Municipality.

Spokesperson of the municipality, Mahendra Khadka, said the two cricketers would be honored with the cash prize for their contribution to take Nepal into the 2023 One-day men’s World Cup qualifier after defeating the team UAE on March 16.

“A formal decision to this end will be held soon by conducting the meeting of the municipal executive. The players have played their role to up the pride of the municipality,” he said.
