Govt to form committee to determine criteria for distributing decorations, medals



KATHMANDU: The government has decided to form a committee to determine the criteria for distributing decorations.

A cabinet meeting held on Wednesday decided to form a committee on the distribution of decorations and medals.

Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel said, “The study committee was formed to ensure that the right persons in the related sectors would be honored and the country felt proud on it while selecting persons for decoration and medals.”

Meanwhile, the government has appointed Debraj Adhikari as the Chairperson of the University Grants Commission.

Similarly, the Council of Ministers decided to have the compulsory presence of a Ministry of Foreign Affairs representative during the meeting with foreign dignitaries.
