Ward member killed in road accident



BHARATPUR: Ward member of Madi municipality-2, Jiblal Luintel, 60, died in a road accident.

The accident took place when the motorcycle he was riding was hit by a vehicle at ward no. 1 of the municipality on Saturday evening.

Spokesman of District Police Office Chitwan, Vijayraj Pandit, shared that the motorcycle (BaPRa0304Pa 8917), that ward member Luintel was riding was hit by a tractor coming from the opposite direction.

However, the tractor driver escaped following the incident and an investigation is underway.

Luintel was elected ward member representing the Nepali Congress party.
