NC leaders initiating ‘Transformation Campaign’

KATHMANDU: In an effort to bring about “transformative changes and revitalize” Nepali Congress (NC), the country’s grand old party, a group of NC leaders has initiated a nationwide campaign throughout the country.

The campaign will be taken to all seven provinces, the leaders have said.

As part of the campaign, the leaders have decided to hold a meeting in Janakpurdham, the capital of Madesh Province, on May 26.

Likewise, they are holding meetings and interactions in Kathmandu of Bagmati Province on May 30, Pokhara of Gandaki on June 3, and Dang of Lumbini Province on June 5.

Similarly, they are to hold a meeting in Surkhet of Karnali Province on June 7, Dhangadhi of Sudhurpaschim Province on June 9, and Itahari of Koshi Province on 12 June.

The leaders said that additional programs will be held based on the suggestions received from the meeting and interaction.

According to them, the campaign would help the Nepali Congress to formulate timely policies/strategies, make structural reforms, and revive sister organizations, and equal opportunity, among others.

Party leaders, including Gururaj Ghimire, Madhu Acharya, Subash Pokharel, and Ranjit Karna, among others have been actively involved in the campaign.
