KATHMANDU: Speaker Devraj Ghimire emphasized that the government should create an environment conducive for the young generation to remain in the country by identifying and utilizing their latent talents.

He noted a growing inclination among youths to return to their home country and initiate actions, urging the government to effectively devise and implement strategies to prevent the outflow of youthful talent.

During the inauguration of the 50th National Convention of Nepal Jaycees (JCI Nepal) in Butwal on Friday, Speaker Ghimire highlighted the impactful campaigns of the Jaycees, surpassing even those of politics.

He stressed the pressing need to formulate youth-friendly policies, laws, and plans, affirming the commitment of Nepal’s parliament to enact laws in favor of the youth. Additionally, he suggested that the prevailing frustration among young people could be alleviated by crafting suitable policies.

Ghimire underscored the importance of further promoting the norms and values of Jaycees. Butwal sub-metropolis mayor, Khelraj Pandey, mentioned that the Jaycees’ conclave in Butwal had delivered a significant message to the country.

The national convention commenced under the slogan ‘Capable Youth, Better Country: Enabling Environment, Foundation for Good Governance.’ A total of 1,246 delegates from 178 branches of Nepal Jaycees are participating in the conclave.
