KATHMANDU: The women’s T-20 series, featuring four countries including Nepal and Hong Kong, has started.
Nepal, having won the toss, is set to bat first in today’s match against Hong Kong.
The pressure is on Nepal to secure victory in this game, as success will pave the way for a title clash against Hong Kong.
In the previous match played on Wednesday, Nepal suffered a defeat by 27 runs against Tanzania.
The ongoing series in Hong Kong involves host Hong Kong, along with Nepal, Tanzania, and Japan.
According to the ICC rankings, Tanzania holds the 19th position, Nepal is at 21st, Hong Kong is 22nd, and Japan is placed at 51st.
Nepal’s final group stage match will be against Japan on November 18, with the top two teams advancing to compete for the title.
The Nepalese team, led by captain Indu Barma and vice-captain Bindu Rawal, includes players such as Rubeena Chhetri, Sita Ranamgar, Asmina Karmacharya, Kajol Shrestha, Kanchan Shrestha, Khushi Dangol, Sangeeta Rai, Soni Pakhrin, Somu Bista, Puja Mahato, Roma Thapa, and Yadhan Khadka.
