Captain Rohit Poudel scores half century for Nepal



KIRTIPUR: Captain Rohit Kumar Poudel has scored a half-century against Namibia in the triangular ODI series under ICC World Cup League 2 undergoing in Kiripur, Kathmandu. He has also become the first batsman to score 1,000 runs so far in the ODI.

Nepali team’s captain completed a half-century for Nepal while chasing down the target of 286 runs given by Namibia at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground, Kirtipur on Tuesday.

He completed 50 runs off 47 balls by hitting 3 sixes and 4 fours. This is his sixth fifty in ODIs.

Earlier, Kushal Bhurtel completed a half-century for Nepal. Kushal and Rohit are now in crease.

Earlier, Namibia, batting first, scored 285 runs losing all the wickets in 50 overs.

Nepal has scored 219 runs in 40 overs losing five wickets. The match is undergoing.
