Nepal chooses fielding against PNG



KATHMANDU: Winning the toss against Papua New Guinea (PNG), Nepal has chosen fielding first at the ICC World Cricket League-2 match undergoing in TU Cricket Ground, Kirtipur on Monday.

Nepal got off to a great start against Papua New Guinea (PNG). Spinner Lalit Narayan Rajwanshi bowled Kiplin Doriga for a personal 2 runs in 3.4 overs while giving Nepal a great start.

His success has been followed by Sompal Kami and Sandeep Lamichhane  so far.

PNG has scored 49 runs for the loss of three wickets in 14 overs till the time of writing this news.

Nepal has changed one player in the playing XI today. Nepal has given chance to Karan KC in place of Gulshan Jha today.

Nepal is looking for its third consecutive win in the series. In the first match of the ongoing series, Nepal defeated PNG by 55 runs and in the second match against UAE by 177 runs.

Nepal wants to keep alive the possibility of directly playing one-day World Cup qualifiers by winning against PNG and making it to the top three.  Provided Nepal wins two matches now, it will qualify for the World Cup.
