FNCCI election underway in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: Voting to elect a new leadership of the Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) is underway in Kathmandu.

Voting has already begun at the Pragya Pratisthan (Nepal Academy), Kamaladi in Kathmandu.

The voting will end at 4 pm today.

According to FNCCI, the counting of votes will start after 5 pm.

According to the FNCCI statute, the current Senior Vice President Chandra Dhakal will automatically become the President of FNCCI.

In the FNCCI statute, there is a provision that the person elected as Senior Vice President will automatically become the President after three years of tenure.

Umesh Lal Shrestha, Anjan Shrestha and Ram Chandra Sanghai are in the race for the post of Senior Vice President.
