KATHMANDU: The Department of Operational Support and the Office of Information and Communications Technology under the UN secretariat is organizing the 7th edition of partnership for technology in peacekeeping international symposium in Nepal from June 13 to June 16.
Publication Relations and Information Directorate of Nepali Army shared in a press release that the symposium would dwell on emerging issues of IT and its implication in security, the technologies applied in the peacekeeping missions, challenges and best practices.
In the event to be coordinated by Nepali Army, experience and knowledge on the related issues would be exchanged among the member states.
At total of 230 people, including representatives from 51 member states of the UN, experts from 11 peacekeeping missions, force commanders will have the participation.
Even Under Secretary General of UN Department of Operation Support, Atul Khare, will have participation in the symposium. The first symposium was held in Italy in 2014.
