One dead, four injured in scrapyard fire in Biratnagar



KATHMANDU: Tragedy struck when a fire erupted in a scrapyard in Shatgumti, Biratnagar Municipality-7 on Wednesday, resulting in one fatality and four injuries.

The fire was reported at 2:15 pm, according to the police. The deceased individual has not been identified at the time of reporting.

The injured, identified as Ajit Sardar, Sushila Paswan, Pinki Kamat, and Kishor Kamat, are currently receiving treatment. Ajit Sardar, Sushila Paswan, and Pinki Kamat are undergoing treatment at Neuro Hospital, while Kishor Kamat is receiving medical care at Koshi Hospital.

All the individuals involved were employed at the scrapyard.
