KATHMANDU: Nepali fast bowler Gulsan Jha has been declared the best player in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Asia region qualifiers.
Gulson, who took 79 runs and 5 wickets throughout the tournament, got a motorbike as the prize. Opener Kushal Bhurtel was declared the best batsman. Kushal scored 185 runs in 5 matches in the tournament.
Oman’s Bilal Khan was adjudged the best bowler. Bilal took 11 wickets in 5 matches. In the final played on Sunday, Nepal was defeated by Oman in the Super Over.
Both Nepal and Oman have qualified for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 by winning the semi-final. In the semi-finals held on Friday, Nepal defeated UAE by 8 wickets and Oman defeated Bahrain by 10 wickets to qualify for the T20 World Cup.
