NC President Deuba congratulates U-19 Nepali cricket team



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba congratulated Nepali team selected for the U-19 Cricket World Cup to be held in Sri Lanka next year.

President Deuba, also the former Prime Minister, took to social media to extend congratulations and best wishes to the winning team.

“I congratulate and extend my best wishes to the Nepali team qualified for U-19 World Cup to take place in Sri Lanka”, Deuba said.

Nepal has set its journey for U-19 World Cup to be held in Sri Lanka next year after beating UAE by seven runs in the deciding match.

The match took a positive turn for Nepal after cricketer Dipesh Kandel took three wickets.

With this, Nepal is playing the U-19 cricket world cup the first time since 2016.
