KMC seeks 230 employees



KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has invited applications from Nepali nationals interested in working for the metropolis.

In a notice published on Saturday, KMC announced its recruitment drive for 230 employees, comprising 21 supervisors and 209 enumerators. The primary tasks include the distribution of identity cards and the identification of economically disadvantaged households within the metropolitan area.

Eligible Nepali citizens can submit their applications through the metropolis’ website without any charges. The application deadline is December 22. The selected candidates will be employed for a period of five months.

Candidates applying for the supervisor position must hold at least a bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Population Studies, Economics, or Mathematics, along with a basic understanding of computer operations. As for those interested in the enumerator position, a certification in Statistics, Population Studies, Economics, or Mathematics, coupled with computer knowledge, is required.

The monthly salary for supervisors will be Rs 34,730, with an additional Rs 2,000 allocated for internet expenses. Enumerators will receive a monthly salary of Rs 32,902, along with an extra Rs 2,000 for internet expenses.
