Nepal T20 League: Biratnagar Super Kings defeats Pokhara Avengers by eight wickets

KATHMANDU: Biratnagar Super Kings has beaten Pokhara Avengers by eight wickets in a match today under the first edition of the ongoing Nepal T20 Cricket League in Kathmandu.

The match was organized at the Kirtipur-based Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground.

With this win, Biratnagar Super Kings is placed in the third position with four points. Chasing a target of 136 runs, Biratnagar Super Kings achieved it in 18.4 overs at the loss of two wickets.

For it, Rohit Paudel remained unbeaten on 71 off 57 balls with three sixes and four boundaries.

Similarly, Gauranshu Sharma made 33, Hussain Talat 28. For Pokhara Avenders, Ameer Hamza and Zahir Khan took one wicket each. Invited into bat first after losing the toss, the losing team hit 135 runs in the allotted 20 overs losing six wickets.

For the team, Hamza made 37 runs, Sumit Maharjan 26, Captain Upul Tharanga 25 and Aasif Sheikh 11. Similarly, Pratish GC remained unbeaten on 13.

For the winning team, Andre McCarthy claimed three wickets, and Shahab Alam, Raj Rocky Nannan and Nandan Yadav one each.

Lumbini All Stars has topped the score board with eight points followed by Kathmandu Knights being in the second position with four points.

Winner will receive Rs 5.5 million in cash, and first runner-up Rs 3 million.
