NC will resolve border disputes through diplomatic efforts



KATHMANDU: Issuing its election manifest for the November 20 election, the Nepali Congress (NC) has vowed to resolve the border disputes of Lipulek, Kalapani, Susta and Humla through diplomatic efforts.

NC unveiled the election manifesto on Saturday morning.

There is a border dispute with China in Humla district and diplomatic efforts will be made to resolve it, the manifesto said.

The border dispute with India will be resolved through diplomatic efforts in relation to Susta, Kalapani, Lipulek and Limpiyadhura, the manifesto said ahead, recalling, on the occasion of the last visit to India, Prime Minister Deuba made Nepal’s stand regarding the border dispute  clear to the Indian government.

Similarly, the dispute with China on the northern border of Humla district will be resolved through diplomatic efforts, the election manifest mentioned.
