Kathmandu witnessing rainfall since early morning



KATHMANDU: Kathmandu is witnessing rainfall since early morning on Sunday affecting the normal life and traffic.

The water level in the rivers, including Bagmati, Dhobikhola Bishnumati has risen.

Meanwhile, there is possibility of heavy rain in four provinces with normal to complete change in the weather across the country today.

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, there is a possibility of heavy rain with thunder and lightning in some places of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Considering the risk of soil erosion and landslides in the said province with possibility of heavy rains, the DoHM has also requested to all concerned to take necessary precautions.

The water level in the rivers and canals may rise while the daily life and traffic may also be affected.
