Marshal team formed to rescue Nepalis stranded in Gulf labor destinations

KATHMANDU: Ministry for Labor, Employment and Social Security Krishna Kumar Shrestha has formed a marshal team to rescue Nepalis stranded in Gulf employment destinations on visit visas.

The Minister said those responsible for stranded Nepalis would not be spared under any circumstances. Action would be taken against agents abandoning Nepali youths in Dubai and other destinations after sending them there on visit visas.

During a discussion with youths at the Ministry today, urging youths not to go on foreign employment on visit visas, Minister Shrestha said a ‘marshal team’ has been formed to address the victims who have reached labor destination countries, including Dubai, UAE, on visit visas.

He said that a grievance redressal cell set up at the Ministry would run 24 hours a day from coming Sunday. He added action would be taken against manpower agents based on received grievances.
