KATHMANDU: A bill related to Transitional Justice has been tabled at the Parliament.

Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Govinda Prasad Sharma presented the Disappeared Persons, Truth and Reconciliation Commission (third amendment), 2079 in Parliament on Tuesday.

A bill has been introduced to grant amnesty to those involved in human rights violations during the decade-long armed conflict.

The National Human Rights Commission and the international community have protested against the bill registered by Law Minister Sharma.

Provisions have been made in the bill to grant amnesty to any person involved in any incident contrary to the spirit of the order given by the Supreme Court.
