1,436 vehicles taken under control for driving without permission on Election Day



KATHMANDU: As many as 1,436 vehicles, including motorcycles and four-wheelers, were taken under control for plying the roads without permission on Sunday, Election Day.

Rajendra Prasad Bhatta, the spokesperson of traffic police, said that 1,349 motorcycles and 87 four-wheeler vehicles were taken under control yesterday.

Vehicular movement across the country, barring essential services, was halted on Election Day. However, many private and non-essential vehicles were found plying the roads.
