Pakistani Ambassador to Nepal Haider Shah pays farewell call on Veep Pun



KATHMANDU: Ambassador of Pakistan to Nepal, Syed Haider Shah has paid a farewell call on the Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun on Wednesday.

On the occasion, Ambassador Haider Shah thanked the Vice President for his audience and expressed gratitude for his continued support to the Embassy of Pakistan through out his tenure.

He also recalled Vice President Pun’s attendance during Pakistan National and Independence Days programs as Chief Guest.

During the meeting, matters related to mutual interest between the two countries were discussed.

Vice President Pun appreciated Pakistan’s generous support to Nepalese students for their education in the field of medical and technical education in Pakistan.

He also appreciated Ambassador Haider Shah’s active role and initiative in the provision of medical assistance to Nepal during COVID-19 pandemic.

Ambassador Haider Shah also thanked the Vice President for the relief items sent by the Government of Nepal to Pakistan for flood affectees and expressed gratitude for this timely assistance.

Vice President Pun expressed his best wishes for the outgoing Ambassador as well as his family and Pakistan Embassy’s endeavors in the future.

At the end of the meeting, Vice President presented the Ambassador with the traditional Nepali Ceremonial Scarf (Khada) and Dhaka Cap.
