Government announces public holiday on Nov 20-21



KATHMANDU: The government has announced a two-day public holiday on November 20 and 21 for election purpose.

The elections to the House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly are being held on November 20.

According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, the government has said the schools designated as polling stations, meanwhile, will remain closed from November 18-21.

Spokesperson of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Joint Secretary Phanindra Pokharel, issued a statement on Tuesday mentioning that the Home Ministry decided to give a four-day holiday in the schools designated as voting centers.
