All-party meeting underway at Singha Durbar

UML boycotts meet



KATHMANDU: An all-party meeting called by the Speaker of the House of Representatives has started at Singha Durbar on Monday afternoon.

Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota called the all-party meeting to discuss the impeachment motion filed against Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana on Sunday.

However, the CPN-UML is not participating in the all-party meeting. The UML has beef with Speaker Sapkota and has been boycotting all-party meetings for the past few months. The party holds Speaker Sapkota responsible for the split of UML and the formation of CPN-Unified Socialist.

Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, CPN-Unified Socialist Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal, Janata Samajbadi Party Chairman Upendra Yadav and others are participating in the meeting.
