Nepali Congress to hold a parliamentary party meeting on Tuesday



KATHMANDU: Ruling Nepali Congress (NC) is holding a meeting of the parliamentary party on Tuesday.

The meeting to be held at the Lhotse Hall of the Federal Parliament Building in New Baneshwor at 9 am is scheduled to discuss the latest political developments, impeachment motion of Supreme Court (SC) Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana, among other issues.

Three parties – NC, Maoist Center and Unified Socialist — of the ruling alliance had on Sunday filed an impeachment motion against Chief Justice Rana.

The ruling coalition filed an impeachment motion against Rana in the parliament secretariat alleging Rana for increasing his activities through the Judicial Council.
