NPC Chairman Li to call on PM Deuba today



KATHMANDU: Visiting Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of China, Li Zhanshu, is scheduled to pay a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba today.

Likewise, he will call on President Bidya Devi Bhandari on Wednesday.

Li will also hold separate meetings with KP Sharma Oli, former Prime Minister and Chairman of CPN-UML; and Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, former Prime Minister and Chairman of CPN-Maoist Centre today itself.

Li landed at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu on Monday.

Leading a delegation of about 100 people, leader Li is on a four-day official visit to Nepal at the invitation of Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota.

He will return home on September 15 on a special flight.
