High court orders not to obstruct Batas group in Pashupati Dharamsala

KATHMANDU: Causing a hitch on Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation’s attempt to remove Batas Group from the responsibility of operating Pashupati Dharmashala, Patan High Court on Sunday issued a short-term interim order not to obstruct Batas group operating the Dharmashala.

Earlier, on the directive of Tourism Minister Prem Ale, the Pashupati Area Development Fund (PADT) had decided to cancel the agreement with Batas Group and had asked the group to stop the operation of the Dharmashala.

Hearing on the writ petition filed against the government and the PADT,  A single bench of Justice Narishwar Bhandari issued a short-term interim order not to immediately obstruct Batas Group’s Hotel Ananda Pvt. Ltd  from carrying out its activities unless another verdict comes.
